Your constitution is not a fixed label — and our TCM constitution quiz is one way to see where it sits this week. It shifts with the season, with how long you have been sleeping badly, with stretches of high work pressure. Twelve questions, three minutes, free, on your phone. It is not there to label you — it is there so the next time you walk in, you arrive with a starting point Dr. Judy can read with you.
What the TCM constitution quiz is
The AI Constitution Quiz is Sky TCM’s online questionnaire, grounded in the classical TCM framework of constitution identification. There are three pieces to it:
- 12 questions — covering sleep, digestion, hands and feet, mood, menstruation (where applicable), self-checks of tongue and complexion, and energy
- Seven constitution types — qi-deficient (气虚), yang-deficient (阳虚), yin-deficient (阴虚), phlegm-damp (痰湿), damp-heat (湿热), blood-stagnant (血瘀) and qi-stagnant (气郁)
- A personalised pairing — each result suggests a bead bracelet and a tea direction, and flags whether an in-person consult is recommended
The flow: scan the clinic QR code or visit the site, choose “start quiz,” answer for how your body actually feels right now, and the result page appears on submit. All responses are anonymous.
Who the TCM constitution quiz is for
- Anyone new to TCM, unsure where to begin
- People in preconception, postpartum or perimenopause who want a baseline record
- People in a high-pressure work stretch or a sharp seasonal shift
- Anyone considering a bracelet or wellness tea, unsure which fits
- Returning visitors who want a check-in before a follow-up
- Family members helping a parent or partner take a quick read
There is no fee and no sign-up. If your result is markedly off-center, we will gently suggest coming in; otherwise there is no pressure to book.
What a use is like
When the page opens you will see a brief note: please answer for the last two weeks, not your best or worst day. The questions are everyday language — “have your hands and feet been cool recently?”, “is there a tooth-mark indent on the edge of your tongue?”, “is your menstrual flow bright red, dark, or with clots?” (when applicable).
The quiz runs 3 to 5 minutes. The results page returns a primary constitution, up to two secondary tendencies, three home-care suggestions, a bracelet pairing, a tea direction, and a clear note on whether an in-person consult is recommended. You can screenshot the page or send the link to yourself.
How TCM sees this quiz
Classical constitution work uses the four examinations: inspection, listening, inquiry and palpation. The AI quiz is a structured version of inquiry — only inquiry. It cannot see your tongue, take your pulse, or hear how your breath moves.
We say this plainly: the quiz is a supplementary reference and does not replace professional diagnosis. It can fairly say “leaning toward qi stagnation right now.” Whether that is uncomplicated liver qi stagnation or layered with phlegm-damp, and whether acupuncture is the right next step — those are decisions Dr. Judy makes during a face-to-face visit. Think of the quiz as a note you bring with you.
Pricing, booking, things to note
The quiz is completely free, no registration, on any device. To bring the result into a first consultation, please ask the front desk for current first-visit pricing.
A few notes for use:
- Take the quiz on a relatively ordinary day — not during illness, severe insomnia or a major emotional event
- For people who menstruate, avoid days one and two of your cycle
- The same window does not need re-taking; once per season is plenty
- If your result shows three or more overlapping tendencies, or skews to one extreme, we recommend coming in sooner
- For minors and during pregnancy or early postpartum, the result is for reference only

Frequently asked
Is the quiz really free? Do I need to register?
Free, no account, no phone number. Responses are anonymous; we only see them if you choose to share the result with us at a visit.
How accurate is the result?
For “which way are you leaning right now,” reasonably reliable. As a diagnosis, no. Constitution work in TCM relies on all four examinations, and the quiz only covers inquiry — useful as an initial coordinate, not a final answer.
How is this different from seeing Dr. Judy in person?
A consultation includes pulse, tongue, complexion, the sound of the voice, and a longer conversation about your life — none of which the quiz can do. Quiz plus consultation is the best pairing.
Can I share my result with a practitioner?
Yes. The results page has a screenshot and a shareable link option. Bringing the screenshot to a first visit cuts down on intake time.
Can I retake it? How often is reasonable?
Yes, no limit. Once a season is our suggestion; more often can become “answering the way you want to answer.”
My result says I lean toward qi stagnation. Should I be worried?
There is no need to worry, but it is worth noticing. Qi stagnation is not a disease — it is a tendency, and one that responds well to small adjustments in how you move, rest and unwind. If it is sitting alongside disrupted sleep, irregular cycles or digestive symptoms, please come in. And if low mood, anxiety, or panic is interfering with daily life, work, or relationships, please also consult a registered psychotherapist or psychiatrist — TCM care alongside professional mental health support is the safer path, not a substitute for it.
