Sky 中医养生 — herbal bead bracelets 封面

The scent of a herbal bead bracelet is slow. Fresh from the box it is a soft cloud of wood and flower; a week in, it has mixed with the warmth of your skin and become something only this bracelet, on this wrist, can smell like. At Sky TCM we keep the SG Handcraft pieces in a wooden tray near the front desk so the friends who come in can pick one up on the way home — not as jewellery, but as a small ritual that continues after the clinic door closes.

What a herbal bead bracelet is

A herbal bead bracelet is made by grinding traditional Chinese herbs into powder, blending them with natural binders, shaping them into beads, and threading them onto a strand. SG Handcraft currently offers four styles at Sky TCM:

The wearing is simple: against the skin, releasing scent slowly with body warmth. We do not believe more is better — one bracelet at a time, matched to your constitution.

Who it’s for

Not sure which style is yours? Our free AI constitution quiz suggests a pairing based on the seven TCM constitution types.

What wearing one feels like

In the first few days the scent is more present. By week one it has settled into something more inward — closer to “your scent.” SG Handcraft uses natural aromatic binders to shape the beads, so water, sweat, perfume and strong scents will affect the layering over time.

The daily ritual we suggest: in the morning, choose the bracelet for the day ahead. Brew a tea matched to your constitution. Let the bracelet warm against your wrist as you drink. At night, take it off and rest it in the box to air. The “bead and tea” pairing is the gentle companion we recommend most often.

How Chinese medicine sees this

In TCM the bracelet is not an internal herb — it is an outward, aromatic application along the body’s channels. TCM has long held that fragrance can rouse the spleen and gently transform damp. The bracelet rests at the wrist — a stretch of skin the hand taiyin lung and hand jueyin pericardium channels pass through, near points like taiyuan, lieque and neiguan. The scent softens with body warmth and stays with the breath through the day.

Please remember: the bracelets are not medicine. They do not treat any condition. They are a wellness companion — a way to keep a slower, more attentive conversation with your body going through the day. Real recovery still comes from assessment, acupuncture, herbs and daily rhythm.

Frequently asked

How do I choose the right style?
Come in and let Dr. Judy read your pulse. If you live further away, the free AI constitution quiz offers a bead-and-tea pairing on the results page.

Can I sleep in it?
The Sleep Herbal is designed for night wear. The other three are day-wear pieces — we suggest taking them off before bed.

What if it gets wet?
Try not to shower or soak in it. If it picks up rain or sweat, pat dry with a soft cloth and let it air — no heat or direct sun.

How long does the scent last?
The scent ages and softens over many months of daily wear — the exact timing varies with body temperature, season and how often you wear it. You’ll notice the character shift before it fades. When it does, bring it back for a scent refresh.

Does it make a good gift?
Yes — it gives well to family, friends, and anyone wrapping up a treatment course who wants to extend the ritual at home. Simple gift packaging is available; when you are not sure of the recipient’s constitution, Rose Herbal is the easiest entry point. You are welcome to come in and let us help you choose.

Can the four styles be rotated through a day?
Yes. A common rhythm is Focus through the working day, Lightness in early evening, Sleep at night.
